Pitchfork festival is an annual music festival held in Chicago. It is scheduled over a three day weekend, Friday through Sunday, and takes place on three stages. It is associated with Pitchfork Media who also owns the highly regarded online music journal, Pitchfork. The festival usually puts together a good mix of acts that have finally broken into big time and acts that are on the cusp of doing so. The focus is mostly on indie rock, indie pop, alt hip-hop, indie folk, and electronic music. Its lineup is usually smaller than some of the other big name US festivals, but the names on the list tend to pack quite a punch. It has branched off to Paris, Berlin and London locations over time as well.
