Levitation 2026

Levitation is a 4-day festival that takes place in Austin, Texas.  It started out as Austin Psych Fest in 2008, but was given a name change in 2015. As its origins suggest, the festival pays extra attention to psychedelic bands, but it is a relatively diverse festival that covers indie rock, punk, and adjacent genres. Historically, it has taken place around Halloween at various venues, mostly in the Red River District on the eastern end of the downtown area, close to I-35 freeway, but, in 2025, it moved to September, which continues for 2026. Participating venues in 2026 for night shows are Stubb's, Mohawk, Elysium, The 13th Floor, 29th Street Ballroom and Hotel Vegas. Radio/East hosts shows on all 4 days on 2 stages and serves as the festival hub.
