DITZ
Outline
DITZ is a Brighton based post-punk band with a strong noise rock component, not unlike contemporaries like Gilla Band or Gurriers. They display dark tones and an aggressive, hard-hitting sound at comparable levels. There are also some subtle nods at Bauhaus, especially in terms of their dynamics, whiplash vocal turns, and guitar bursts that serve as dramatic accents. Their music plays off of a sense of gloom that, in a way, connects the dots between the widespread anxieties of the '80s and whatever it is that we all seem to be going through these days. Vocalist C.A. Francis follows the practice of drifting in and out of a speak-singing style of delivery, which is especially prominent on their 2025 album, Never Exhale.
