Psychedelic Porn Crumpets

Psychedelic Porn Crumpets are a psychedelic rock band from Perth, whose music is ... well ... fairly psychedelic. Also, fairly garage. Compared to other bands in the same genre that have been coming out of Australia recently, PPC generally gravitates towards a comparatively harder, rougher sound. In addition to the obvious Tame Impala influences and shades of John Lennon and Marc Bolan, the band also draws a great deal from classic metal (Black Sabbath, on occasion) and prog rock in terms of how they put together their melodies and instrumental passages (see Whatchamacallit). In that sense, their psychedelia does more than drift into a dreamy, trippy space (though it does so with some regularity), but it is also just as happy to snap back into head-bopping heavy guitar riffs, and if the riff is handled by two guitars playing in unison, that's even better.
