The Hopscotch music festival has been around since 2010. It is typically a 3-day affair, taking place in Raleigh, NC, at both indoor and outdoor venues downtown. It has been somewhat reduced its scope in recent years, likely due to the concurrent proliferation of music festivals since its inception, but seems to have taken a step up in 2023. It has always been able to attract well-known artists from a variety of genres, but with an emphasis on indie rock/pop. It also gives an opportunity for local acts to play for a larger audience. This year there are two outdoor stages at City Plaza and Moore Square as well as 6 clubs that will host performances: Lincoln Theater, Kings, The Pour House, Slim's, Wicked Witch and Neptunes.
