Truth Club

Truth Club is a Raleigh, North Carolina based post-punk band that also has strong indie rock and garage elements built into their music, as well as some math rock that is hinted by their guitar work. Their songs are well-written and well-executed, with a nice punch provided by vocalist Travis Harrington's distinctive voice. They keep a light touch with their post-punk by not pushing the sound too far and instead, adopting a more balanced approach that gives their songs a broader, genre-neutral appeal. Their rock sound is often compared to The Strokes by critics, which may not be immediately obvious, but as long as one is willing to squint hard enough, perhaps.
