Freakout is a 4-day music festival that takes place at multiple venues around the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle in late Autumn. Established in 2013, it grew out of the local scene's punk house parties. Its focus is primarily punk, garage and psych rock, but includes other genres, e.g., hip-hop, especially among local performers. It also has an international bent, especially with regard to Mexican and South American acts, but also with significant European representation in its lineups. Also of note is that this festival is an incredible bargain at just $71.38 all in.
Venues for 2024 are Salmon Bay Eagles (upstairs and downstairs stages), Tractor Tavern, The Sunset, Conor Byrne, Ballard Smoke Shop, Nectar Lounge and High Dive.
