Canela Party is a music festival like no other because it's not just a music festival. No, it is also a completely over-the-top, wacky, days long costume party (but especially on Saturday). Organizers say it's the only festival in the world where the bands come to see the public and that showing up without a costume and confetti will likely be an uncomfortable experience.

As far as the music is concerned, performers tend to be very of-the-moment acts from various indie sub-genres and, at this festival, they'll be entertained as well. Performers also tend to join in on the dress up.

Canela Party began in 2007 and takes place at a fairgrounds in Torremolinos, a coastal town Southwest of Málaga.

Things to know

Festival is all ages, under 10 free of charge, but all must be ticketed, whether free or paid. All minors must have submitted a Documento de Responsabilidad de Menores signed by a parent or legal guardian and minors up to 15 must be accompanied by an adult. No camping. It is a cashless event.
