Man/Woman/Chainsaw

Man/Woman/Chainsaw is a versatile band that plays indie-oriented art rock with a post-punk mindset and an ear towards chamber-type accents.  It is not unusual for them to move between these modes midstream. Their rock has a sharper edge to it, which makes them, in some way, harder and naughtier cousins of bands like Black Country, New Road, and caroline. The basic blueprint of their sound was already in place right from the start, in the way they move from serene bits to explosive bursts and chaotic interludes with complete confidence. Clio Harwood's violin is a special standout sonically, but truth be told, this is a quite talented bunch of musicians with bold ideas and solid songwriting chops.
