Jespfur

Jespfur, aka Jesper Vervoort, is an artist with a rough and fragmented sound delivered with a strong lo-fi esthetic in its production. Coupled with the woozy, slightly disorienting textures he creates, his music comes across like a DIY underground sound filtered through a bad acid trip. It is not psychedelic in the usual sense, but it does make the head spin a little through its sonic layering and atmospherics. There are instrumental details that fade in and out, while glimpses of melodies keep bubbling to the surface. This is a highly personal project in which the artist maintains a delicate balance between making a piece of music that sounds both random and planned at the same time.
