untitled (halo)

untitled (halo) is a trio based in Southern California that adopts a somewhat dreamy flow that is grounded in a lo-fi, scruffy, shoegaze adjacent sound. They're rough but mellow, melodic in a forlorn kind of way, nicely wrapped around bass player Ariana Mamnoon's vocals. There are some bar Italia influences in their work, along with elements of Bowery Electric, which is especially prominent in their initial recordings. They have begun to lean towards a shoegaze type direction since then, with sporadic alt-rock attacks trickling down between the lines. The trio gets good mileage from their streamlined arrangements and Jay Are's production work, creating moody music evocative of gray, rainy days.
