Sword II

Sword II is an indie band that takes an eclectic approach to their music as they blend their dreamy soft focus shoegaze with jagged post-punk, roaming on top of a lo-fi, almost Sonic Youth inspired no wave meets experimental art rock foundation. It is likely still an evolving sound given that they have put out only a single EP thus far, but it appears that both the shoegaze and post-punk bits mostly weave in and out of their music while that raw and rough part stays as their through line. They have a distinctive sound that may not be bold and assertive at the moment, but is certainly adventurous and to a great extent, fearless. The co-leads Travis Arnold and Mari González tag team on the vocals.
