Dean Forever

Dean Forever is the duo Jakub Tengdahl and Kiah Lanagan on keyboards/drums and vocals, respectively, who play indie pop with dreamy tones, approaching dream pop at times without quite making the jump. They have a loose sound with an easy flow, and a style that is reminiscent of a variety of things, including perhaps an unlikely whiff of Canterbury sound peeking through the cracks here and there. A vague layer of Broadast also makes its presence felt occasionally, along with a touch of The Cranberries. Lanagan has a particularly sweet and appealing voice that grabs attention effortlessly. Their songs come with strong melodies that the duo keeps subtle, making the most of their smart and well-calibrated arrangements.
