Drug Store Romeos is a dream pop band originally from a small town in Hampshire, England whose music has a little bit of indie rock also mixed in. It has all the charms of bedroom pop, with Casio keyboards, toys occasionally being used as instruments, whispery vocals by singer Sarah Downey, who has a noticeably youthful quality to her voice. The rhythm section carries the weight of the songs well, giving the space for vocals and keyboards to lean back a little and do their swirly, hazy, hypnotic thing. The songs are mid to low tempo in general, with sharp instrumentation and a good melodic flow. They have a tendency to shift beats, change tempos, etc, which is a relatively unusual but refreshing thing when it happens in this kind of music.
