La Paloma

La Paloma is a Madrid based band that plays in a '90s alt-rock style that maintains a nice balance between the hard edge in their sound and their highly melodic pop sensibilities. They both move the tunes forward and push up the noise factor through their double guitar attack, where the guitarists Nico Yubero and Lucas Sierra also tag team on lead vocals. Their ability to consistently create catchy tunes is particularly apparent on their ballads, which are not that many, but they are there. The production value in their recordings is polished just enough to accentuate the melodic core of their songs, while leaving plenty of room for the scuzzy parts to do their thing.
