THICK

THICK (in all caps) is a Brooklyn based band that plays high octane indie rock with a raw sound that is not too far from some of the punkier edges of '90s alt-rock and a touch of Midwest emo peeking through. They have a strong melodic flow that adds a bright pop sheen to their songs. Their music is very lively and quite catchy without losing any of its punk creds, and the band's delivery has a sense of urgency.  All three members contribute to the vocals, which are usually fairly sweet, occasionally engaging in old school group shouting when they crank up the aggression. Their songs very often tend to pack some political punch.
