Melody's Echo Chamber is the moniker of singer-songwriter Melody Prochet, who creates a potent combination of psychedelic pop, dream pop, and vintage French pop with absolute minimum number of lines that would be required to connect those dots. She has the breathy singing style and all the mistiness one would expect from dream pop as well as the late '60s/early '70s French pop, while at the same time, the slinky, swirly sounds in her music give her psychedelia creds. The music is strong on the groove, throbbing with late '70s funky grooves, which all feel organic and relaxed. She eschews tropes of conventional pop and remains on the slightly adventurous path, including some fairly inspired instrumental choices every now and then. She often mixes English and French in her lyrics. Her psychedelia may not come across as a full on acid trip, but there is certainly some serious mind expansion going on in her work.
