The High Sierra Music Festival is an annual 4-day music festival that takes place high in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California in the town of Quincy, near the border with Nevada, on July 4th (Independence Day in the U.S.) weekend. It was established in 1991 and tends to focus on Jam bands and Bluegrass but also includes a good representation of Blues, Rock, Folk, Jazz and Country/Americana. It also has a significant mind/body wellness component with workshops for yoga, pilates, etc., as well as many arts & crafts vendors. You know, mountain town stuff.
