High Sierra Music Festival 2026
Outline
The High Sierra Music Festival is an annual 4-day music festival that, until 2026, took place high in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California, on July 4th (Independence Day in the U.S.) weekend. This year, it moves down into the foothills, closer to population centers in Sacramento and the Bay Area in hopes of becoming profitable once again after a post-COVID downswing. It was established in 1991 and tends to focus on Jam bands and Bluegrass but also includes a good representation of Blues, Rock, Folk, Jazz and Country/Americana. It also has a significant mind/body wellness component with workshops for yoga, pilates, etc., as well as many arts & crafts vendors. You know, mountain town stuff.
Festival is all ages, 4 and under are free, 5-16 are discounted. Camping included with multi-day passes only.
