Joe Armon-Jones is a keyboard player who is best known as a member of Ezra Collective, which is one of the major break-out bands of the London jazz scene. He has also played with numerous other artists in the same circles including Nubya Garcia and Moses Boyd. Whereas Ezra Collective works mostly in the Afrobeat style, Armon-Jones' solo work leans more toward the pop-oriented traditional fusion jazz of the 70s mixed with funk. Latin, hip-hop, and dub elements make an appearance as invited guests on a song by song basis, but the main focus of his solo work, at least at the time, stays within the traditional boundaries of pop jazz.
