Moses Boyd is a drummer and producer who was one of the first breakout names to gain prominence among the current crop of jazz artists in London. As a drummer, he is highly skilled and sought after. As a musician, he draws his inspiration from a variety of sub-genres and has been exploring possibilities of fusion between jazz and a diverse array of genres such as Latin, Caribbean, and Afrobeat, as well as grime, hip-hop, and electronica (see his Absolute Zero). He explored forms of free jazz with saxophonist Binker Golding, and electronic experimentation with his drum 'n' bass inspired grooves. He works in more traditional styles as well, since he often collaborates with artists from different musical backgrounds.
