Cherise

Cherise Adams-Burnett is a London-based jazz singer who has come to use her first name alone as her stage name. She came out of the same Tomorrow's Warriors organization where Ezra Collective, Nubya Garcia, Moses Boyd and many others also developed into the artists they are today. Her music draws quite a bit from neo soul and alternative R&B, with an occasional stroll into the chill world of bossa nova beats as well. Her jazz is generally on the lighter side, with a nod towards the pop jazz of the '80s. She has a smooth and bright voice. She also plays the flute and has been working with the London-based Afrobeat/jazz combo Nubiyan Twist in both capacities as a vocalist and a flutist.
