Chris (aka Gavin Tennille) is a producer and hip-hop artist who works across genre boundaries to include elements from jazz, electronic music, and low-key soul. He frequently favors downtempo pieces and spacious arrangements that give him the room to experiment with textures and flow as he consistently stays off the beaten path. He has a conversational rapping style that casually folds introspection, humor, and a certain level of melancholy into his often lo-fi production. His body of work has established him as an artist who pushes boundaries with all his jazzy accompaniments and interludes, as well as his frequent collaborations with other outstanding left field hip-hop artists, including Pink Siifu, billy woods, and Jean Grae.
