Peter Broderick

Peter Broderick is a composer and multi-instrumentalist who is not locked into any specific genre, having built himself a career that freely flows between classical, folk, country, and electronic. He plays a variety of string instruments and keyboards, and he sings. His output is prolific, including collaborations with a number of artists over the years. That said, the home base that he tends to return to is either his neoclassical work on the piano (which especially dominates his early recordings) or folk music that frequently goes in the old-timey direction, or occasionally, an interesting combination of the two. His music has a lot of pastoral qualities at its core. It is contemplative and romantic more often than not, and at times, a bit droney, not to mention somewhat playful, especially in recent years.
