Goldmund

Goldmund is the moniker multi-instrumentalist Keith Kenniff uses for his piano driven ambient and neo-classical work. Most of his music as Goldmund is performed on solo piano though he occasionally also brings in extra guitar or synths for additional texture.  His work is fairly minimalist, building on an overall flow that is meditative and ambient in nature with very little orchestration or embellishment. It is also fairly introspective and quiet to the extent that his soft gestures on the piano and the way he taps the keys are often captured in the recordings. It is gorgeous music to say the least, intended for quiet moments, and it is best appreciated by an audience that is in a particular frame of mind, or at least is willing to be transported there.
