Mint Julep

Mint Julep is the multi-instrumentalist duo Hollie and Keith Kenniff, both of whom also happen to be highly accomplished musicians with their individual careers, but carry on this little family project on the side as well. The bulk of their work is mid to high tempo electronic pop with sturdy beats and layers of synth that is fairly dance-oriented for the most part. Hollie Kenniff's voice projects a trip-hop level haze and mood with an otherworldly quality while remaining strictly synth pop. Their music has been uptempo and bright pretty much throughout the project. The only notable exception has been their post-pandemic output In a Deep and Dreamless Sleep (2021) in which the duo took the joyful throes of dance floor bliss down a few notches, and recorded a slowed down, pensive album with ambient tones.
