Oscar Jerome is a London-based jazz guitarist and singer who was one of the members of the band KOKOROKO before he moved on to a solo career. His work takes classic elements of jazz, the cool and romantic kind, and reformats it for today's musical landscape by mixing in elements of neo-soul, contemporary R&B, hip-hop, and Latin music. All that is very much in line with the city's current take on the genre and Jerome had collaborated with artists like Moses Boyd and Shabaka Hutchings in the past. He has a smooth, disarming voice that would have been right at home on a dreamy indie folk singer. He is also a remarkable guitar player whose style has shades of John Scofield and George Benson.
