Boy With Apple

Boy with Apple is a Gothenburg based four-piece band that has a bright, chimey sound, prominent guitar shimmer, and the kind of hazy vocals that walk the line between a soft form of shoegaze and dream pop. Their songs are gentle and melodic, with a thick layer of melancholy paired with a palpable sense of introversion that is hard to miss. They bring to mind bands like Lush and especially late period Cocteau Twins with their overall temperament and palette. Perhaps not exactly a sonic wall of distortion, but they also raise a veil of mist with their synth work, which blends nicely with the delicate, almost ethereal guitar work and vocals.
