Bestial Mouths

Bestial Mouths is the project of Lynette Cerezo, a vocalist who often works in conjunction with musician and engineer Brant Showers to create pieces of dark music that draws from a variety of stylistic sources, including goth, industrial, and post-punk. She brings theatrical grandeur to her work, expressed in a big sound and big musical gestures that evoke a sense of inevitable doom in the listener. She has a powerful, deep voice that falls somewhere between Diamanda Galas and Siouxsie Sioux, and lands like a heavy punch. Her music is often driven by percussive action. In her earlier work, She was keen on balancing her darker tones with the lighter touch of a new wave inspired synth layer, which is something she has been employing to much lesser extent in her recent albums.
