Allegra Krieger

Allegra Krieger is an indie folk artist whose fairly relaxed songs come with a gentle feel, smooth flow, and low-key delivery. She has stylistically been aligned with the kind of tonal lyricism practiced by classic artists like Joni Mitchell, where her introverted and contemplative sound built around her voice and guitar work is combined with a poetic expression and stripped down arrangements. That changed a little on her 2024 album Art of the Unseen Infinity Machine, which saw her move towards broader instrumentation with an electric guitar taking an occasional lead, accompanied by a rhythm section. There is an increased focus on the melody, without sacrificing any of the lyrical punch or emotional resonance her songs usually carry.
