NYC Winter Jazzfest is a multi-day, multi-venue music festival that takes place over the course of a week each January in New York City. Venues are in both Manhattan and Brooklyn and performances include both individually ticketed performances as well as 2 10-hour, multi-venue "marathons", one each in Manhattan and Brooklyn, on the Friday and Saturday at the heart of the festival. Performers tend to be among the most in-demand jazz artists and include an artist-in-residence who holds multiple performances with various combos. For 2025 the artist-in-residence is Makaya McCraven.
NYC Winter Jazzfest began in 2005 as a single-day, single venue affair and has since grown into an institution.
