Moses Yoofee Trio

Moses Yoofee Trio is a Berlin based jazz outfit that incorporates elements of contemporary music, especially hip-hop breakbeats and occasional soul forms into their music. They are led by keyboard player and producer Moses Yoofee who centers his playing around acoustic and electric piano more often than not, so their sound tends to have a fairly organic texture. Plenty of the envelope pushing also comes from the combination of bassist Roman Klobe's deep grooves and drummer Noah Fürbringer's restless attack that often comes with a sharp edge. The musicianship in the band is top-notch, and their overall sound, as well as their compositional impetus, generally reveals a more traditional feel at its core once its contemporary embellishments are peeled away.
