Lomelda

Lomelda is the stage name for Silsbee, Texas, native Hannah Read, a singer-songwriter with lo-fi, drowsy songs and a quiet, hushed delivery. Her songs are intimate pieces that are often performed gently on a solo acoustic guitar or a piano. She has lately been incorporating the basic rock band set up in her music and using the electric guitar in interesting ways to build mood in the background rather than lead. There is a sense of fragility in the say she performs her songs, with a hint of tentativeness such that her strums on the guitar might sound like a question mark sometimes. That is not the case when she has cranks up the volume on her electric pieces. Otherwise, her music has a late night at an empty bar quality as she bears her soul to total strangers she will likely never meet in person.
