Jas Kayser

Drummer and composer Jas Kayser is one of the major jazz artists emerging from London's fertile jazz grounds in recent years. She is a Berklee College of Music alumnus who has been working with Nubya Garcia, Ashley Henry, and Daniel Casimir. Her work is strongly groove oriented and is grounded quite a bit in the Latin and West African beats, with a particular affinity towards Afrobeat. She has a precise style with a lot of propulsion. She can get quite dancey at times and continually exudes plenty of pure joy in her playing. 2022's Jas 5ive is her first major outing as a band leader.
