Jackie Hayes

Jackie Hayes is a singer-songwriter, originally from Chicago, whose music brings some of the '90s alt-rock motifs into the contemporary, pop-leaning indie rock sphere. Her earlier work had a jazzier, janglier angle with catchy and bubbly songs. That shifted on her debut album, 2022's Over & Over, that caught her moving towards the more mainstream rock/pop amalgamation style. She keeps her fuzzy guitar work and thumping beats up front and center in her work going back to her beginnings as Family Reunion.  Her songs tend to be nimble but with an unsettled feel that is pervasive in her melodic flow, which she pairs with an angsty delivery and tense vocals that gives her music a nervous edge.
