Grim Streaker

Grim Streaker came out in the '10s as a band rooted firmly in the punk tradition, with their package of confrontational stance, fiery delivery, and a harsh and loud sound. The tone of the band was set between vocalist Amelia Bushell's passionate style and Daniel Peskin's explosive guitar. When they came back after a break in 2022 with their EP, MIND, Bushell's voice was at a lower registry and somehow more confident. The band had some of their more abrasive edges smoothed out, taken on post-punk colors, and leaning towards a groovier and dancier direction. Their music is often fast and energetic. It is built around straightforward rhythms that add a more direct punch to their music, especially in their early releases.
