Cumgirl8

Their deliberately provocative name and overtly sexualized presentation aside, Cumgirl8 (aka CG8) is a band that plays outstanding post-punk while holding on to some of the punk attitude and esthetics. They are a band that often combines catchy tunes with solid hooks, and a decidedly, proudly, unpolished and rough sound. They exude raw energy and loads of creative sparks, to be sure. Anchoring a lot of the action is Lida Fox's somewhat blocky and humming bass lines, backed by the solid drum work from Chase Lombardo, with the guitars going alternately jangly, splashy, crunchy depending on the song. The band does not actually stay still stylistically and continue to try out different textures sounds as they keep going.
