Charlotte Dos Santos

Charlotte Dos Santos is a singer-songwriter with Norwegian and Brazilian heritage who incorporates lively bossa nova beats into her generally calm and relaxed, jazz infused ballads. Her music has an easy-going flow that sits comfortably at the intersection, steadily drawing from multiple streams and patiently stitching them together to construct the kind of music that is both melodically and rhythmically rich and textured. The jazz angle was much more prominent in her music initially, which can be seen in her debut album, Cleo (2014) where she was much closer to the Ego Ella May territory. She began to develop smoother edges and pop sound afterward and adopted more overt bossa nova tones as she continued to mature as a songwriter.
