Bonnie Trash

Bonnie Trash is the twins Emmalia and Sarafina Bortolon-Vettor, a guitar-drums duo that infuse their alt-rock with a generous serving of metal drones and darkwave flavored post-punk. The result is driven by the kind of dark tones one would expect from this combination. A lot of their inspiration is drawn from the supernatural folklore of Northern Italy passed on to them through their grandmother. A sense of mystery and dread colors quite a bit of their music. Emmalia's guitar drives their overall sound with the textures it builds, backed by Sarafina's voice, which reaches the same kind of deep tones that is an essential component of the work of many artists including Siouxsie Sioux and Nadine Shah.
