Tanukichan

Tanukichan is singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Hannah van Loon, whose music generally tacks fairly close to the shoegaze lane with a relatively softer focus. She evens out the harsher aspects of the genre by sweetening her songs up with a touch of dream pop. Some elements of indie rock also find their way into her music, specifically in terms of the beats she brings in and her guitar tones that can drift into the alt-rock world sometimes. She does this in an organic way, as if she is turning some mixer knob somewhere that gently injects rock into her sound without any abrupt shifts. She sings in an introverted, slightly distant style where her vocals are generally mixed slightly above the instruments.
