Portola Festival, from the same organizers as Coachella, made its debut in 2022 on Pier 80 in San Francisco and returns for 2023. The name is a ode to the Portola Festival of 1909 that celebrated the rebirth of San Francisco after the 1906 earthquake. The festival spans 2 days and features a good mix of well-established and up-and-coming indie pop/rock, hip-hop and electronic artists. The festival takes place both outdoors and indoors as the pier has a 400,000 square foot warehouse.

The festival is 21 and up only and there is no re-entry. Doors at noon both days.
