Vulfpeck

Vulfpeck is a band that thrives on the retro mixture of funk, R&B and pop that used to be all over the radio dial back in the early to mid '70s, with all its fun and glory. In fact, they love that sound so much that they go on to recreate it with all its quirks in their original work. The band consists of four highly talented musicians and a handful of their equally talented friends, some of whom happen to be absolute legends (see Bootsy Collins and Bernard Purdie). There is also a second layer of personnel including musicians like Cory Wong and Antwaun Stanley who join the band on recordings and live shows. Their music carries all the party time atmosphere, but it is also boasts a fairly soulful core, solid, fun melodies, and strong grooves, which pretty much defines their work.
