Cory Henry is a singer and keyboardist who is primarily a jazz artist but has also been working in funk, soul, and gospel. He has especially been exploring '70s style funk and soul pop fusion in his more recent recordings. He started out as a child prodigy growing up in Brooklyn and established himself as a major talent before he joined the famed jazz ensemble Snarky Puppy in the mid '10s. He is a fluid performer with a diverse array of styles at his command. He has thus far been focusing mostly on electric keyboards rather than an acoustic piano. He has especially made a name for himself with his mastery of the classic Hammond organ. Between that and his spot on vocal delivery, Henry has been one of the major figures in carrying the vintage soul/jazz sound to the current music scene.
