TVOD
Outline
TVOD, aka Television Overdose (or T.V.O.D.) is a Brooklyn based punk band led by singer Tyler Wright, with a relatively fluid line-up of players. They have an upbeat and noisy sound with a healthy amount of fuzz combined with some boisterous energy. That said, they are not exactly the aggressive, in-your-face type of punk. Their songs have a melodically expressive tone with plenty of hooks, most of them fairly infectious in a lo-fi way. It is still mosh pit worthy music though. Their pandemic era EP, Daisy (2020) was a more mellow, mid-tempo, and artsy affair. The band also appears to be developing a pop-oriented synth streak with disco style beats that further broadens their stylistic range.
