Trap Rabbit

Trap Rabbit is the keyboards/drums duo Logan Roth and Arjun Dube, who take more or less conventional forms of fusion jazz into a more contemporary territory in the way they also incorporate breakbeats as well as J Dilla inspired wobbly grooves. Their pieces are dynamic, loaded with idea front to back, without going into long instrumental excursions. They like to keep it funky and lively throughout, often stick to a relatively succinct presentation at around the 3 to 4 minute mark. A lot is packed into that time span, though, often with structural complexities that keep the audience on their toes, and a gritty edge that gives their to sound garage creds.
