Ryan Pollie

Originally from Philadelphia, Ryan Pollie is a Los Angeles based singer-songwriter and multi-faceted artist. On the one hand, he writes melodically catchy indie songs that are part folk and part pop, which is how he has been for the most part. His pop work is defined by his ability to come up with snappy tunes wrapped inside an upbeat and feel-good flow. His initial recordings were mostly bedroom pop type songs that he released as Los Angeles Police Department. And then there is the experimental side of him that he has been leaning more towards in recent years. The music that he released as Total Revenge tends to be noise driven and distorted. His The Fridge series contains ambient/impressionist audiovisual records with loops and soundscapes named after the items in his fridge, and was conceived as an installation art piece. His 2025 album Sleepy Cheese ventures into the doom metal world.
