PinkPantheress is a singer-songwriter and producer who plays a kind of indie pop that combines R&B, jungle, and electronic music. She likes to use strong, propulsive beats whether it is drum 'n' bass or reggaeton or other Caribbean beats and adds to them sweet and melodic layers of pop and R&B. Her more recent albums find her moving decisively into a dance driven beats with disco undertones as well. She normally plays it straight but also takes it up a couple of notches into the hyperpop territory sometimes, though even then, she exercises some restraint. There is quite a bit of sampling in her song construction. She emerged as an artist on TikTok initially, and continues to use her username as her moniker while keeping her birth name private.
