With her hushed voice and bashful delivery, Operelly (aka Olivia Austin) is a singer-songwriter who combines folk and electronic sounds together in her quiet ways. Her songs have an artsy feel and a lo-fi sound that seem very well suited for small stages and dimly lit, intimate settings. Underneath that low-profile exterior, however, lie delicately arranged subtle melodies and nuanced songwriting. Her hooks are soft, and when she kicks into a more pop-aware mode, still keeping it fairly mellow, she introduces some gentle beats that blend into the muted tones of her music.
