Montell Fish

Montell Fish (born Montell Frazier) is a singer-songwriter with a district sound that manages to explore lo-fi textures while maintaining a rich sonic profile. He turned towards an experimental direction and introverted, introspective music around 2022, after having recorded a few albums as a Contemporary Christian artist where he alternated between R&B and hip-hop.  The change came with 2022's Jamie, containing a series of songs that are haunting in nature, gripped by a sense of loneliness and isolation. Subsequent albums, including his work as dj gummy bear, follow the same theme, though gradually pulling through that darkness with a snappier sound and a slight bounce, also incorporating some electronic and rock elements in the process.
