Eli Keszler
Outline
Percussionist and composer Eli Keszler writes and performs experimental music that draws from a variety of styles ranging from free jazz and nu jazz to jungle and a mixture of minimalism and ambient. His earlier recordings were influenced by a general modernist sound. His live recordings are improvisational in nature and have a way of engendering a sense of intrigue in the audience. He is drawn to soundscapes in his work in general, often bringing nuanced emotional shadings into his impressionistic tones. It is not a surprise in that regard that he is active in the soundtrack world, though it might be a tad unexpected that he also constructs art installations that combine visual forms with sound.
