Makeshift Art Bar

Makeshift Art Bar is a Belfast based post-punk band with a strong noise element and industrial textures. Their music has aggressive and bleak tone where the guitars are jagged and fuzzy, bursting into Bauhaus style wall of distortion at times, and a powerful drum pulse blends into the overall state of anxiety. Vocalist Joseph Sweeney delivers with a sense of urgency between a low register croon and an intense roar. Their initial single releases tended to have a more synth driven melodic sound which seems to have subsided since then.
